A small Seattle-based bike company is trumping the Big Boys on the downhill scene.

Crankworx Wrap: Gee Atherton and Emmeline Ragot took gold in the final Kokanee Crankworx 2010 competition, the Canadian Open downhill. But for Seattle the big story was locally based Evil Bikes placing three riders in the Top 10: Scot Lewis Buchanan, silver; Kiwi Brook McDonald, 7th, and Slovakian Filip Polc, 9th. Canadian Kenny Smith placed 25th while fellow countryman Steve Smith (who going in may have been Evil’s top pick) was out of the running (no immediate explanation why). Still and all, a great CWX for Evil’s crew.

The root of all Evil.
