News Cycle: LAPD officers “removed from field”

| |

The Los Angeles Times reports that four officers at the scene of a bicycle rally protesting the Gulf Oil Spill last week (see our featured video to the right) have been “removed from the field” pending an investigation.

The good news is that video captured the action, or probably nothing would have been done. The bad news is this comes despite a pledge just a few months ago from the Los Angeles police chief to promote better treatment of cyclists by police.
