Today's Ride: Lake Sawyer/Black Diamond

| | ,

Went out into the woods for a ride Jim likes to call “classic Northwest urban winter trail, where you go round in circles for hours.” Lake Sawyer is just outside of Black Diamond on the Maple Valley-Black Diamond road.

We got completely lost but spent 3 hours in the saddle having a great time trying to make sense of this logistical hairball. The area map looks like a close-up photo of really bad varicose veins.

But what the hey. We had fun. It was dry and we only crashed once each. The structures need some tending, looking pretty rickety and not much used. I imagine things will pick up considerably as we get closer to season.
