Fork Review: The RockShox Reba Team 2009

| | ,

Mountain Biking by 198, a ripping bike blog, has a detailed review of the 2009 RockShox Reba Team fork. I ride a RockShox Lyrik on my Intense 6.6 which I’ll be reviewing soon, but the quick take on RockShox is that the forks really rock. In my sojourns around the West Coast I run into a lot of RS riders and have yet to hear a discouraging word. The Lyrik (I have the adjustable travel coil, 115 to 160mm of travel) has a wide range of adjustability, great bottom-out for the jumps and drops but you can back off for XC, and is stiff as roadkill.

The blog is written by Robb Sutton, who if he rides as well as he blogs would be someone to thrash with (or try!). Bookmark it, it’s well worth following — he even explains the “198” bit. He’s also on Twitter.

  1. I have a Lyrik coil bolted up to my personal Ventana El Terremoto. That is one mean fork.

I have been really happy with the RockShox camp ever since the SRAM takeover. It has really stepped up to the previous glory of the brand name from the 90’s.

    Thanks for the plug!
